Music Video Production in San Antonio Texas

Steve Circeo

Strange Light Productions sprang from my desire to capture live music with excellent audio from my favorite local artists and deliver it to the public.

These live music videos led me to creating videos from studio tracks, then to doing video artist profiles, and will soon lead further into short films created around songs.

If you are interested in having me create a video for you, give me a call or send me an email, and we’ll see what we can work out.

I prefer to work on small projects that don’t require a crew outside myself. Maybe one other person. If you are looking for a guy to work on a big production, I’m not him. I prefer to be involved in all aspects of the video from start to finish. This limits the scope, but it also keeps the budget down, and eases logistics, which keeps us on schedule and in possession of the hair we have left on our heads.

For live performance music videos, the venue is important, because we need to be able to capture excellent audio to go with the video. My favorite live shoots involve only one handheld camera, but I have shot with up to seven cameras. FWIW, I hope never to do that again, but a three-camera shoot is not out of the question.

For music videos from studio tracks, if you send me the track, I’ll write a script for it. Then we’ll bounce ideas back and forth and set up a time to shoot it. The nice thing about this type of video is that we don’t need to worry too much about audio. (I say not too much, because often there is some audio at the beginning or end that we use from the shoot.) I’ve had my videos shown on television on independent video channels. They look good!

The artist profile videos I’ve done were for Americana Music Times. They involve an interview cut in with live performance footage. I hope to continue to do these for Americana Music Times, but I’d also be happy to put one together for you to use as a kind of electronic press kit.

I don’t charge a lot, considering what you get, but I do have to eat and pay a mortgage, so I don’t work for free. Give me a call or send me an email and let’s discuss how we can work together on your next video project.
